Last week, British Airways offered a phenomenal business-class fare sale to many destinations in Europe, made even better by a $400 discount from AARP, an additional 10% discount with the British Airways Visa Signature Card and a limited-time promotion letting you take hundreds more dollars off the cost of the ticket by redeeming up to 30,000 Avios.

That last discount is part of BA’s Avios part payment promotion, which runs through the end of today. During the checkout process, you can redeem up to 30,000 Avios to take hundreds of dollars off the fare of a business or first-class ticket — this promo even works with the AARP discount, though it can’t be stacked with the 10% Visa “CARDOFFERU” discount code. The discount is also available on flights operated by BA’s partners, such as American Airlines and Iberia, as long as the flight can be booked through British Airways’ site.

Officially, the deal only applies to flights between London and the cities listed below. However, it’s possible to apply the same discount to fights between other destinations as well. Here are the covered cities, as per BA:
Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Bangkok, Beijing, Bengaluru, Chengdu Shuangliu, Chicago, Dallas – Forth Worth, Delhi Indira Ghandi International, Dubai, Hong Kong, Houston, Hyderabad, JFK, Kuala Lumpur International, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Montreal, Mumbai, Newark, Philadelphia International, San Francisco International, Seoul, Shanghai Pudong, Singapore Changi, Toronto, Vancouver and Washington.
Because the discount is calculated in GBP, the US dollar amount will fluctuate a bit. Last week, you could save $764 by redeeming 30,000 Avios, while today you’ll save $773. You’ll be getting roughly 2.6 cents in value from each Avios point you redeem, which is a fantastic deal considering that TPG values British Airways Avios at 1.6 cents apiece.

Normally, the discount isn’t nearly as appealing — as you can see above, you’ll only be getting about 1 cent in value per Avios point, compared to the 2.6 cents you can score through the end of today. It’s unclear exactly what time BA will pull the offer, though I’ll bet it won’t be any later than midnight local time in London, which is five hours ahead of the East Coast and eight hours ahead of the West Coast, so there isn’t much time left to take advantage
